Trump's exceptionally weak choice for UN ambassador

The upcoming 74th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) will mark a coming out party for Kelly Craft, the little known former US envoy to Canada and President Donald Trump's pick for US Ambassador to the UN. The selection of Craft, a heavy donor to the Republican Party, the Republican National Committee and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, is yet another salvo in the administration's blatant denigration of the UN. It also marks the first time in recent memory that the post has gone to an individual known more for her fundraising efforts than her political skills.
